Looking for any recomendations or reviews on the best type of handwarmer to use.

Have tried the 'boil in the bag' type, don't last long enough for a full round. However the novelty value of seeing the change is well worth looking at. :D

Disposable - single use teabag types are ok but costly, £1 a go can soon mount up.

Anybody got the solid fuel type or better still the newer petrol style?

Are they worth the money and do they last long enough??

Any views gratefully received.

Thanks
John.

I just put my hands in my pockets, or if its really really cold I put a pair of fleece gloves on, mmmmm lovely.

Don't use them. Just have a good pair of Cally winter mittens.

problem is......I keep losing gloves aorund the course  take it off to play or putt, stick it on the bag and somewhere it will fall off. Golf glove goes in my pocket.
Only use the right hand one as i have the golf glove on the left hand.
I now have an extensive collection of left hand only winter gloves :D any takers??? :D

What you need is that cord that goes round your neck and down your sleeves tied onto the gloves. :) ;)

I have one of the charcoal/solid fuel stick type hand warmer. Never used it for golf. Bought it for fishing. Played with it at home once (like you do when you buy a new toy).......never used it since. Seems a bit of a faff, especially trying to set fire to one of the sticks on a windy day.

Just stick yer hands in yer pockets mate!

a muff fitted round the handle of your trolley?

I tried using mittens the other week, and they where a pain taking on and off but overall did the job.

Got to be winter mitts - they only take a second to put on/take off and if its cold enough for them you shouldn't be able to forget to put them back on! Got some Cally ones on the Xmas list.

Good idea, I'll also ask my mum to write my name on them too!! :D

And without being too rude, I was also after something to help keep my balls warm, so to speak

Titleists obviously :D

Can you actually get these mitts that stay on the handles of your trolley. I think its a bloody good idea !!!

I have tried the ones with the little metal disc in, which you bend to start a chemical reaction. They only last for about 20 minutes though, and never get that hot. Nice if you get really cold though.

If it isn't raining, I use Titleist winter mitts, but they are impossible to get on if you have wet hands.

I used to be big into Pike Fishing, so cold hands was part of the hobby !! I used the ones sold in Skiing shops, however, dont need them for Golf ( yet ! ).

I used the charcoal hand warmer when I used to go fishing. They were very good.
Use the mitts now but don't forget to take your glove off before you put on the mitts otherwise you don't get the benefit.
I lent mine to my son on Sat as his hands were cold. Mine weren't, i just put my hands in my pockets
