Was playing yesterday, my wrist feels much better now... a bit sensitive, but I'm trying to commit to shots as best as possible. Glad the ground is soft right now.

So I left myself in an awkward spot, there was a tree between me and the green, 110yds, out comes the 56°, I was going to proper mash it, rip the biggest divot imaginable, get it up over the tree and stop it on a sixpence.

After a couple of practice swings I addressed the ball, there was the tiniest twig beside it, I went to remove it but it was stuck in the ground,I pulled a bit harder and realised that it was growing from the ALMIGHTY TREE ROOT that my ball was sitting on

If I'd have hit it like I was preparing to I reckon that would have been it for my golfing escapades... forever, would probably have broken my wrist.

Bumped a 3-wood under the tree instead, missed the putt, made a bogey - but lived to play another day.

Unbelievably lucky.

Or hit the top of the root and thinned it into the trunk of the tree, rebounded back and hit you square in the Jacob's!!! Very lucky indeed!! ;)

Never thought of that... Crikey!, I WAS lucky! My Jacobs are practically unmissable! :p
