Well for me anyway.

This is going to be a slow week, got a range session booked for tomorrow to let the pro see what progress if any I've made, not sure if this is a good or bad thing considering I have been playing better out on the course.

Wednesday night will be clean the kit and get the clothes ironed ready for the weekend.

Someone asked when the first H4H thread went up what colours would I be wearing this year, well, it's all colour coordinated, orange, blue, green and pink. The pink being reserved for H4H, lovely pair of Royal and Awsome pants.

Thursday night is 'keep the missus happy night', so we're out for a meal, even better that my daughter has passed her driving test, she can taxi for us, which will make a change.

Friday, is Kraxx's birthday, so we'll be across the club for something to eat before starting the long weekend with a round then later on we're out for a curry with two other mates.

Saturday, Blue day and a long drive down south, with a game arranged at Shendish Manor, I've played their once before and enjoyed the course, so looking forward to playing it again. Then down to the hotel and out to watch the rugby and probably a curry.

Sunday, Orange day and 18 holes at Blackmoor and curry later on in the evening

Monday, Pink day and 18 holes at West Hill

Tuesday, Green Day and 18 holes at Camberley.

Can you tell I'm getting a little giddy with excitement now :D Going to be good to see some new faces and meat up with friends made last year.

It's good that you're excited, it's a top event. It's a shame I'm missing it this year.

However I don't get those who target it to win it. Everyone likes to play well. I've played in it 3 times, played well twice and Rubbish once, but winning it was never a prime motivator. Is there really any kudos to winning a stableford society event outside of Congu regs?

Edit, I do find it slightly worrying that you're a grown man, who isn't a ballroom dancer, and is planning his outfits :o

I hit 60 range balls this morning, first time with a golf club since I had a knock with mendie in August. That was this first knock since June! I am fully expecting to win with 45 points and if i don't I will cry into my carvery.

I kind of made the rod for my own back having 'Khamelion' for a forum name, having coloured outfits is part and parcel of the long weekend and it's only once per year, for charity and a laugh among friends.

The below is taken from the West Hill website

"Bedser Bar (Spike Bar)
Golf clothing is permitted. Smart casual dress is acceptable at all times.

Lubbock Lounge (Lounge)
Smart casual dress is acceptable, although the Club’s preferred dress code is collared jacket, trousers and shirt with tie, or roll-neck sweater. Please note that shorts or golf shoes are not allowed.

Dining Room

Love the run up to this day, but currently sat cough, cough, cough.... cough, cough, cough. Off to Manchester Wed, then to Dublin. Arrive home late Friday, and then a 50th b'day party - not mine, that's a wee way off. Hopefully wake up in one piece on Sunday, minus cough, and drive down for a bacon sandwich and a mug of Horlicks with the guys in Woking on Sunday night... well, maybe a ruby and a half of shandy... ok, ok a beer or three!

I thought you did the same. Surely drab doesn't pick itself ?

I'd take that from some Rich.....but not 'man @ BHS' :o

having a harris tweed cap doesn't make you on trend.

Do you and smiffy ever get mistaken for extras from Last of the Summer Wine (Whine) ??

I'm also pretty excited about Monday!

Haven't hit a ball since mid August when I came back from Honeymoon. Going to make a trip or two down the driving range this week see if there is anything new I need to buy from the shop.

Not sure on clothing options yet, but I may consider my Poulter tartans, if not standard black my suffice.

Edit: Also check for any more GoPro accessories.... If only I had a drone...
