Good Afternoon Forum Goers,

Ive just seen Peter Finch's recent video of his day at the GM Forum H4H charity golf day and it looked like a fantastic day to raise money for a fantastic charity.

Anyway, the reason for the thread is this; I would love to get involved in this next year as i think its a brilliant cause and another excuse to get the bats out for a game of golf! As im relatively new to the forum could someone kindly explain how it works and maybe point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance chaps,
Jates12:thup:

I'm sure someone will be along but if you do a quick search you will find lots of threads.

Maybe it's time for a H4H sub section of the forum so all the threads can be easily accessed in one place???

Welcome along mate. Keep your eyes on the arrange a game section as all details are posted in there. All are welcome to play mate.

Rick and Rich will announce early next year where the event will take place

Just need to pay a deposit on the charity site that Rick will set up and then turn up on the day

Im actually not a subscriber to the magazine at the moment (poor young lad until pay day) and some of the threads dont appear. Im not sure if thats the case but its all i can think of...

You don't have to be a subscriber to the magazine

And the thread will appear in the Arrange a Game section of the forum

No im aware of that i dont need to be subscriber to use the forum or play in the day. But if i click on some threads (e.g reviews) none of the sub-threads appear on there, v confusing. (Sorry off topic i know but very confusing!)

if you look at the very bottom of the page on the empty sub forums then you'll see that the default setting is to look at only two weeks of threads. Some of the forums don't generate enough threads to be constantly populated. You can either change the setting, or search the forums instead (there is also a setting for the whole forum that you can change too)

you sir, are a scholar and a gent.

You can change your settings so threads from further back appear on the list.

I vaguely remember the default is only a couple of days, so if you change it to a couple of weeks there'll be a lot more to see.

You can also use the search function to see threads way back.

Next year's HFH stuff won't start appearing for a while yet, so you haven't missed anything.

Edit - way too slow! :o

Welcome Jates12. Get stuck in. There will be an announcement in due course probably early(ish) in 2016 as it does take a hell of a lot of planning. Everyone involved does a fantastic job and these are great days out. However, there are usually a few other forum meets in "arrange a game" during the season which will always be worth a look too. Great way to put faces to names and everyone I've played with on here have been great blokes to spend a few hours with

As I say, keep an eye on the arrange a game section. Plenty of stuff in there usually and big or small these meets are always good fun. Everyone I've played with have been top blokes on and off the course
