What a contrast in courses. Gillin3 is fairly short but it's still good. Dalmahoy, the east course is a monster off the back tees. If not your still talking about 7000 odd yards, good though.......need a GPS, powacaddy, packed lunch, tent, sleeping bag, sausages, beans and primas stove. :D

As Tommo says contrasting courses.Gullane no.3 a short par 68 with plenty driveable par 4s but an enjoyable test.Only played the championship at Dalmahoy and its tough test especially the new holes on the back 9,you'll need the long iron/hybrids working well even in July.
Should make for a good weekend.

The shorter course at Dalmahoy is pretty decent. The big course is a monster, huge greens, long, long holes.

Overall I enjoyed the shorter course better. Having said that there are some cracking holes on the big course - a couple of recent changes to the back nine introduce some good new holes.
