i have just joined a new club and as i haven't yet got a handicap i need to put in 3 rounds as you know..

I have been shooting mid 80`s at my old course so i was feeling confident about my 3 rounds. I went and played at my new club yesterday (practice round) and shot one of the worse rounds i have ever shot in a long long time!!

Im due to play 1 of my handicap rounds this Saturday and not feeling to great about it!!!

Don't worry about it. Everyone has off days. And they usually only take into account your best round when getting a handicap and anything above double bogey will be reduced back to a double.

Just enjoy your round on Saturday. Getting a handicap is the most important thing. Once you've got one, you can start to work at getting it down.

Best of luck.

New Course = new doubts = worse scores.

Dont worry about it, so what if its worse than you expected, if you can play well under it when you get used to the course, it'l fall quickly.
