Played on Thu, Fri, Sat and Sunday and thought the course was lookling a bit shabby, in need of a bit of growth. Greens are still bumpy and slow, covered in dressing, and marks from scarifying. Fairways are worn and tired, rough nothing to speak of.

Played last night, and WOW. Greens better, fairways lush, tee boxes looked like first cut rough the grass was so deep, and the rough, OMG, how deep does this stuff need to be. All in one days growing. By Friday it could be two foot deep.

I guess growing season is now here, and the joys of loosing balls 6" off the fairways are back. Role on Saturdays 36 hole medal. Scores will be high, no doubt about it.

More on the bright side too, the cherry blossom on the 4th hole is out, and beautiful, and the bluebells round the woods (especially the back of the 11th) are something else. The smell as you walk onto the eleventh green is fantastic.

Golf, isn't it marvellous.

I was out last night and there was a big differance between then and saturday - greens where better, fairways looked greener and rough was a brute when the ball nestled down (as mine did several times)
