why do you think that, i found my ping wedge was great when new but lost its stopping power after a while

Agree with this, you'll see no difference, keep them clean and they'll perform well if you strike the ball correctly
6 months but I am playing 3/4 times a week
Even then your grooves wont change much in that time.
I have a vokey 58 degree is there any way of restoring the face?
