i played Greenmount near Bury today, I had played it maybe 20 years ago, when it was a 9 hole course. It has changed a bit, they have added 2 new greens. When you play the 2nd/11th and the 6th/15th you play to different greens.
The 10th tee is about 100 yds behind the 1st and on the 17th the forward tee makes it a short par 3 rather then the par 4 8th.

The rest of the holes are pretty much the same both times around.

It certainly makes playing 18 hole interesting, it was a shame that they have had a disease of the greens and they have quite a lot of bare patches on them.

We went there to practice before a knockout match we have against them next week, I cant help but think that local knowledge could prove to be important.

Me and Arenaman play a similar 9 holer called HallGarth

Some tee boxes are different for the back 9 which makes a par 4 the first time round a par 5 on the back half

I think in total there ar 3 holes which change from par 3(9th)/4(5th)/5(6th) to 4(18th)/5(14th)/4(15th) on the back 9

I like it!!

I agree louise, its a crying shame the problems they're having with their greens. I think Greenmount is a cracking little course.
Imo its in posession of two of the best par3's in the area in the 3rd/12 and the 5th/14th. That 12th is an absolute swine off the back tee next to the field, 187 yrd onto one of the smallest greens you'll find anywere, with nowt but trouble when you miss. I'am coming over all clammy just thinking about it.
