So what is the ruling here? He was just about to rake bunker so said its ground under repair now. I was so annoyed as track every shot so just played a lob wedge 40 yards down the fairway rather than go for green so it was like the bunker shot i would of hoped to of played. I wish i just waited for him to go and replace in the bunker now in hindsight but didnt want to make a massive thing of it.

I take it you were just out for a bounce game. If so, what's the issue. The green staff need to do their work, especially just before the weekend.

Thats why i stopped using Game Golf, for me, recording the round became more important than playing it!

Yes but he hadn't even entered the bunker when i was pretty much there. He could of just let me play. Yes a bounce game but i play every round to how i would in a comp. oh the weekend members get priority do they?

I reckon you will find many courses where greenkeepers are given priority over players. Just a matter of ensuring they can get on with the job and nothing to do with prioritising a particular group of players.

Why not just wait until they had finished? Seems a bit anal to me, sorry. A bounce game will never be the same as a medal due to added pressure, different tees etc.
Green keepers should have priority at all times.

Either he has to wait or you do.
Bearing in mind he's got a job to do and he's probably got about 50 bunkers to rake, if he had to wait every time, he'd be out there all day.

The groundman is an outside agency. He moved your ball. Rule 18-1 says the ball must be replaced without penalty.

If the bunker is GUR, even temporarily as declared by a representative of the Committee, then take a free drop and buy the green keeper a drink next time you see him!
