I'm looking into entering one of the comps run by green card (which I found on golf empire while looking at opens). Aside from the cost (which is fairly high as it is all inclusive) it seems like they have a decent setup. I would otherwise have entered the Wirral classic instead as it is a lot cheaper but won't be able to get away from work for that one. Ive decided I can handle the cost if I have to this time around.

Just wondering whether anyone has played in any of the green card events or knows anything about them? One of the main things I'm keen to know is whether their comps are qualifiers... No mention of this on their website but the comps are stableford off full handicap. Will give them a call on that point tomorrow.

Cheers in advance

Should have mentioned, the comp I'm looking at is the one that plays princes, cinque ports and st georges in early september.

i played at a EAGT event last year with a former stalwart of the greencard tour, was told well organised events just not that many entries of late hence the now advertising as previously it wasnt needed, word of my was sufficent. Sounded well organised, and does look appealin.

Just had a look at the website and they look good but jeez they are pricey.

Yep that's what I've gathered - good courses and good events but very pricey. I'm calling them this morning to find out more... if the rounds are qualifiers I will be more interested.
