Over past couple months I've bought 3 new woods from Callaway's XR range. Nice clubs. But on receipt of the most recent (the driver) I also (obviously) got yet another - what I consider to be very poor - headcover. No stem, or neck on them to protect the shaft from bag rub. Poor design I thought.

Getting the third of them wasenough, and prompted me to write to their customer services to express the view that the covers were poor design and they should perhaps consider a change for future. Got an auto resonse - ta for your email, we're busy and will reply within three days. Fair enough.

But within 3 hours, I got a nice reply to say sorry you're not happy, we've passed your comments to the production team who welcome feedback, and by the way, we'll send you three headcovers from a different range that will meet your needs.

Excellent. Well done Callaway.
 
Good to hear the response from Callaway but it seems that this is a trend with a lot of driver covers these days. It may be they had issues with returns on the neck sock tearing, or it was more expensive to produce.
