Credit where it's due....

i bought my x2 hot driver from AG in February 2014 so it was out of warranty when the shaft cracked recently.

Took it back into American golf who checked the warranty but sent it to callaway anyway. Nine days later I get it back with a nice new shaft, no charge.

Pretty chuffed and very pleased with the service from both companies!

As well as warranty, you are protected by the Sale Of Goods Act which basically says that goods should last a reasonable amount of time, so you are also protected by that. Callaway do have a good reputation for customer service though.

Good stuff

Although I thought I read somewhere that goods sold in the EU had a minimum 2 year warranty anyway regardless of whats stated, might be mistaken though

I had the same experience with AG last month, they were excellent and sorted it out without any hassle despite the item being over 12 months old. A small tip, insist on dealing with the manager as the normal guys on the tills aren't usually aware of the already mentioned Sales Of Goods Act.

Quite possibly, but I wasn't aware of that so not pushing it. Will remember in future though!

It doesn't surprise me with Callaway, I got my driver replaced within days and a brand new model into the bargain.

I will be sticking with them from now on.

Americn golf were also involved and very helpfull and i never even bought the original from them.

Sadly I bought it from my own pro shop, he moved on and the new one wasn't the most helpful!

Given the love found for the JPX from your 'baptism of fire' thread is it going back in the bag or is it now the 'John Terry' of your squad?

I'm on the horns of a dilemma! :D

I picked it up just before a lesson and I hit a few with it as part of that. Hit it OK but not great so I think the Mizuno stays in the bag for Saturday's medal but I do love that Callaway. Have got a couple of "big" events to play in next month so need to make a decision before then.

EDIT: Actually, I'll take both on Saturday and they can battle it out on the range for the spot in the bag!

Had the same with AG and Callaway a few months ago. Gravity core was stuck on my aging 13 month old BB alpha, not really a big issue I only went it to see if they could loosen it. AG sorted me out with a Alpha 815 DD on loan whilst mine was sent back to Callaway. Week later a brand new BB alpha 815 was waiting for me, great service from both Callaway and AG.

Of course, I'm no-one to advise but if you're 'in the zone' with the JPX, stick with it - reading up on some of your recent play confidence seems high with it. Leave the X2 for on-course bounce games (if you ever actually play those :)) to see if the owd magic stick still has it.

Yeah, it starts favourite for Saturday but I'll have a hit with both before then.
