In order to generate some money over the winter months for a period of 3 months anyone who deposits £100 with the pro against goods purchased will receive the following prices:

Cost Price to him +VAT + 10%. This seems a very good initative.

I have no idea how much he would make normally and perhaps someone could clarify plerase? For example suppose a Driver is for sale at RRP £250 say what is the cost to the pro?

Have any of your pro's anything on offer for the winter months?

Our Club pro is a mate I know I was surprised when he told me how little he makes on clubs. I think it was something like 15-20%.

they'll probably only get 20-30% off the list price. That's how Ping/titleist etc protect their profit. You'll notice that when there's a deal all of the major distributors (American Golf and the like) do it at the same time, at the same price. Because they're allowed to!

I sell power tools, amongst other things, for a living and it's the same principle. I buy a drill for £200 and can only make 15%, usually less, on it if i'm lucky. It's the same principle- offer distributors small discounts so they in turn can't discount it too much themselves, thus protecting the brand so to speak.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, sounds like you're getting it for nearly face value... Will you be investing in any new clubs and taking advantage of this deal? :)
