WOW! what a day for British golf. Ian Poulter & Ross Fisher really did us proud today. Congratulations to both of them on their victories.It looks like we are going to have one heck of a Ryder Cup squad.

Great generation of young exciting golfers in the whole of europe with the likes of fisher, mcilroy, quiros, kaymer who are competing now and future stars like matteo manassero the americans wont know what hit them!

I'm not too sure that Ross Fisher is that hard up that he needs the £676,000. Sure would make a tad of difference to most of our bank balances though !!

Well pleased for both of them. Despite his obnoxious behaviour at times, Poults is a local lad to me, and started out at the club I'm a member of, so still like to support him. Have been following Fish since I saw him win the European Open by seven shots at 20 under in the pouring rain last year. He has an exemplary attitude and impecable manners, I was particularly impressed with him yesterday, stopping to sign a ton of hats for young fans straight after the last hole. A true role model for young golfers.
