I'm quite happy with my bunker play (thanks to time with JustOne), but found this today and thought it was a great way to attack bunker play.

Good video, a bit complex for the average ''Mr 28'' h/capper.

My bunker play strategy focuses on the most common errors and they are that the amateur golfer doesn't flex their knees enough (to enable the club to get into the sand) and often don't get their head behind the ball (to stop from getting too steep).

If you can get someone somewhat 'hunkered down' with their head behind the ball then they already have a good chance of playing a decent shot from a greenside bunker.

The MOST common error is that people open their stance (which is fine) but the ball position is now off their back foot (because they didn't open their stance properly) so now their head isn't behind the ball and they're going to be too steep and likely just whack the ball straight into the face of the bunker.

Simple geometry... get the geometry right and the swing will take care of itself.

all well and good taking a long shallow divot. try that when there is very little sand in the bunker and you will blade that ball into next week.

Is the correct way to start feet together and adjust one foot at a time? I usually shift the left a bit and then the right.
