Grand National

Dont bet on any other day but National day is different.

The Midnight Club to win and Hello Bud for my e/w bet.

HID has chosen Silver by Nature to win and Character Building for her e/w chance.

Probably as much a chance as anyone else.

My parents are staying at a campsite, they did a sweepstake for all the people on the site. £1 and pick one horse out of the hat.

I got The Tother One, my wife got Quinz, My dad got Santas Son and my mum got Ballabriggs.

Well blow me that straight away my parents were right out front when my wife and mine fell or pulled up before half way!

Then she won it! £40 in the pot too! Got us a nice chinese takeaway (£5 had to be given to charity so really only won £31 after - the entries)

its true, and a reason why they should think twice about having a grand national over those jumps.

It is inhumane to race a horse and kill it because it was too tired to jump over a fence properly.

Hahahaha they dont kill the horse because it is tired FFS.

They kill the horse because it either broke a leg or is seriously injured, but why is it in this `situation? Because it was unable to jump a fence that a human being put there to make them jump. Effectivly we killed it. No way about it, if it didnt race it would still be alive.

Tis the nature of the sport. The owners and trainers know the risk. It is no different to amateurs doing point to point. In theory you could take the point all the way and say anything involving animals (greyhound racing, pigeon racing etc) is inhumane as they are trained to race which by your argument isn't natural behaviour.
