GPS advice.

That's actually a very good shout and great value for money,

Is every course pre loaded to the unit, or do you need to down load a few onto the unit with limited storage selection,
I haven't downloaded any courses so far. There's loads on it.

I have been using its little brother - the standard S320 - for the last 3 years. It hasn't missed a beat and I haven't found a course not on it = haven't played Sunningdale mind you. It also has all the Belek courses on it - handy as I'm off there in 3 weeks time. That is a cracking price.

I have the Garmin G3(I think!)
Runs on AA's - I use rechargables
View of the hole
All distances you need as you can move the cursor to anywhere on the screen
Shot measure
Loads a courses preloaded...
Attaches to the bag.
No fees
Got mine brand new on eBay for £100 6-8 months ago

That's what I'm thinking, at 140 it's cheap, wonder if there is any way of checking my course is there, as we technically have three different courses.

Red/blue -purple
Yellow/red - orange
Blue/yellow- green

Would anyone mind checking all three are on there pretty please:swing:

Have to say the Snooper looks like good value, would consider one of these when my cally claps out

Personally I wouldn't, I've been stung myself. Reason being the market is becoming unstable. Shotmiser (who used re badged Snoopers) have gone under so no more support and the fact Callaway UPro has also pulled out shows the market isn't that big.

Snooper are quiet small on the market and would be the first thing dropped if the company went into difficulties as the primary focus is driving GPS and they are small compared to the like of Garmin.

Golf Buddy and Garmin would be safer options as they have a larger world wide market share making them more stable and also the main competitors of Skycaddie.

The use of mobile phone apps will likely become more widespread and small fish in the Golf GPS market will die off.

Interesting thought.

I also have this device, cracking little unit, shows all I need, hazards, doglegs, front/centre/back of green etc.
