I've got gout in the big toe and it is excruciating. I normally take tablets for it but they are not having it this time for some reason. Have you every had it?
Naproxyn worked best for me. Of course at the time I thought I had just overdone the falling down water a bit and it wasn't until I got rushed into A&E on the verge of the pancreas going pop that you look back and realise what a plonker you've been. I also found putting ice on it took away the pain short term. If you are getting it a lot take it from one who according to the specialist was about an hour from croaking, then lay off the booze and get it checked out PDQ
