Got a car with TPMS and those alloy valve stems with the visible nut holding them in at the wheel?
Dont use metal dust caps, they will corrode onto the alloy stem and you will struggle to get the caps off without destroying the valve stem.
My daughter has a year old X3, and after some scroat nicked her original dust caps she fitted some Halfords metal dust caps. No one realised the valve stems were alloy, which corroded the dust caps onto them. A tyre place couldnt help as she would need new valve stems and they are order from BMW time.
Fortunately after about 30 mins careful work, I got all 4 off and having cleaned the threads put plain old plastic ones on.
Be warned
