Looks like its an MP37 but has no marking apart from Mizuno, has gold lettering on the grip and a S400 shaft.

hit a few with it on sat afternoon and Sunday low rockets that ran for miles, suprisingly easy to hit

Certainly not a 'standard' MP37 2-iron, which also has a logo and 'MP-37' and has a 'chunk' of the muscle removed from the toe.

MP37s were pretty user-friendly clubs and the 2-iron had, as OP posted, a stinger flight. PW was even a nice shape - unusual for a Mizuno!

Could be worth checking the Mizzie Forum to see if anyone knows more about it. Prototype? Tour?

The 2 iron I've got looks like a 460cc driver next to that!!

Very nice

its a good bit smaller than my new MP4's, a good 30% smaller than than the 4 iron.

i just happen to have a Mizuno Cat from 2004 when the 37 was out and that says they were smaller then the MP33 for strong swingers with lower ball flight.

I'd best stick to my GI Joe version then!!

Great looking club, ideal round your place I'd have thought?

not really, not till mid summer. Be sticking with a Hybrid around Nairn, Playing at Fortrose it will be ideal got a couple of opens this year, would be good around Moray and Tain.

Is the GI one you have the Fli Hi?

I bought one in 1987. Year of the great hurricane. I remember it clearly because it ended up under the branches of some trees that had fallen in the back garden of a house adjoining the 11th tee at Crowborough Beacon.
One of my better club throwing exploits that was.
Majestic, one might call it.
:o
