Well there I was sat at work minding my own and ping went the email, it was my MD confirming I had been invited the the new product launch later this month.

Had a read through and it's the new progen launch.

How many people have used this product/brand in the past and what we're your thoughts.

ive got 2 MD wedges. great clubs for the money !

wasnt so keen on their hybrids. i hit my old MD 3wood for the first time in a few years when i was home last week and its as good as any 3 wood on the market!

I think the launch is actually for Progen, if I've read it correctly?

I tested a Progen driver millions of years ago when the heads started increasing in size. Hit every fairway, long and straight and shot my first sub-par round with it.
Didn't buy it, I guess because it was a lesser brand - I thi k I bought a Great Big Bertba instead....

So...what brand is it? :p

I've had several porter woods that were excellent; including winning the longest drive on a massive national event, andi am 5 foot 6 th a half backswing
Also got a beatiful Milled putter of theirs which is still in my backup set.
Personally I think their woods were better than MD's having played both.
Very good clubs and excellent price

Don't like the new colours though

I had a Progen driver and 3 wood 15-20 years ago. They were modelled on the Big Bertha, same sole plate, but a very budget imitation with the whippiest shaft you could imagine. I didn't realise they still made clubs, if I'm honest, and I can't say I'd be tempted to use them nowadays.

Had a Progen Full Bore (think it was) when 1st started playing, great club
Had 1 of their sand wedges too, which was very good too, seem to remember, another Mag, TG, always rated their wedges highly

I've got a Progen Gun Metal lob wedge that's been in the bag for 10 years, and isn't going anywhere. Lovely wedge.

Some good comments about PROGEN of old, having seen the new stuff I look forward to testing it all on the 23rd. I may even write a review, free bar pending...
