Goswick GC - Any good?

I've been looking for a GC nearby that's playable all year round and have been told by a friend that Goswick is supposed to be pretty good and is generally playable all year. It's only about a half hour drive from here.

Does anyone here play there or played?

Would you recommend it?

I've heard rumours that its better conditioned and manicured than Augusta National itself, better than Turnberry, Muirfield and Birkdale rolled into one, the greens are as fast and pure as Edinburgh crystal, the sand in the bunkers is made of crushed diamonds and the fairways perfectly silky smooth as velvet. The flag poles are forged from 100% aircraft grade aluminium and the flags themselves are handweaved by naked virgins.

By sounds of things the almighty himself is a member and designed the place.

of course dodger's a bit biased but rightly so.
Can't wait to visit again.

If your half an hour north of Berwick then I would throw Dunbar east links in the pot. Played it a few times this year, it’s been extended and will be a final a Q course for the 2013 open. All year round golf as well. In many ways different from Goswick as many of the holes run parallel to the beach.

Hi berrymoss I am over your way on 9th august for 10 days or so staying with friends. I have already PMd dodger about a game at goswick but will be playing a few other rounds as well. Where do you play and would you be up for a game if you available.
