Google Search Provider

I asked this question the other week and tried what was suggested ut it did not work.

The problem is when i go on 'Google' to search for something say 'Hotels Edinburgh' and I receive various options. When I click on the option I want I am directed to another site. Eg twin music, tremelco cowboys . I have been into Options and privacy so that these sites are blocked but they still keep redirecting to them.

Any suggestions please? I am not the most prolific computer user!

i had something similar just b4 xmas,i kept getting directed to chinaTv online. it seemed my router had been compromised , i had to do a reset on it and all was fine

Sorry but how do you do reset your router?

Before rebooting your router, download and run Malwarebytes Antimalware. This should remove any nasties that are causing the redirects.

If you still have problems, PM me and I'll run you through some other options.

As for hotels in Edinburgh - I can highly recommend The Carlton. Perfectly located and reasonably priced (for Edinburgh)

Switch it off & back on again.
There should be a switch or push button on the back somewhere, if not, turn it off at the plug.
However, I'd go with the Malwarebytes option first.
