Good service from golf Shop

On thursday walking up the 14th the support stay of my golf trolly snapped so as the saying goes the wheels fell off.
Live in Harrogate and bought the trolly about 8 months ago from a shop called Euro Golf. Popped in there today with said trolly and no receipt and the guys were great, no hessitation, instant replacement even without the receipt, now thats what I call good service to customers. Thanks to all at Euro Golf if you read this Forum.

I agree with Smiffy. We get loads of tales of poor service and so its good to see an outfit treating their customers so well.

Strange I should read this today...

This morning I decided to renew my putter. My old one had been given to me by a friend of my fathers nearly 10 years ago and was awful. I popped into American Golf down the road from me and asked to try out a couple of putters. The chap that helped me was spot on and spent well over half an hour with me, getting me to putt with several clubs, offering me some advice on which ones were suitable for me and why and also threw in a bit of advice to help improve my putting. In the end, it came down to three clubs, an odyssey XG, a fisher putter and a yes putter - he suggested I go with the Odyssey as he felt I'd been putting best with it - it was the cheapest of the three. So I'm full of praise for AG really.

I still went out this afternoon and hit four or five three putts - but I'm still impressed with the time the guy dedicated to serving me and the help he offered.

thats good to hear. i hate when they ask receipt. why you go to that shop if you did'nt buy it there i mean come on !!!!

Working in retail it always brings a smile to my face when I hear about good service, especially as I always strive to provide exactly what the customer is looking for!

The proof of purchase is so the store and the customer are protected under the sale of goods act. If you didn't have a receipt what is to stop anyone going into any shop and trying to change damaged or faulty goods not originally purchased there.
