Winter Solstice was yesterday, so days longer from today!
1st day (or night) of Winter though!

I think you'll find that it's the amount of daylight that will be increasing as the "day" remains, roughly, at 24 hours all year round......

You can't make any more daylight hours, only make the best use of what there is, which the current system fails to do!Yes:lol:.... same as those who insist we lose/gain an hours daylight when the clocks change.
When we see the lambs out in the fields is when it all starts again IMO

If the current system is failing, how does it affect you?
Unnecessarily long dark Winter evenings. Golf curtailed by course opening time (well after sunrise) and early onset of darkness.![]()

What's that got to do with the current system?
The earliest tee time is the same throughout the year, but the day length varies.
Isn't that the golf clubs fault?
You should start a campaign to let golfers play earlier.
What time does the tee open?
I assume that it's down to staff contracts etc. Certainly hours of daylight are wasted before the course opens in the morning during the summer months. That is one of the reasons I campaign for at least BST throughout the year and maybe even Double Summer Time in the summer months. Worked in WW2 for maximising production!
What time does the first tee open?
07.34 am.
