Deep down though I'm very worried that I'm just about to lose my country:(

Aye, well put Blade..

I genuinely hope you get what you want, and if not, that you get what you deserve ;)

You'll always be my 3rd favourite country, no matter what happens.....

Im sure the right outcome will occur.

As an aside, apparently Salmond has already got onto the tv people to organise this whole weeks schedule.

I am hoping for a No vote as I think the union is worth preserving but, in the event of a yes vote, I hope everyone gets behind the decision and makes the transition as smooth as possible. I would hate to see anybody be it in government, sport or any other organisation try to make the transition awkward so as they can get a few cheap 'I told you so' headlines.

Which of course you can guarantee is going to happen. Have you looked at how actually screwed up the world is at the moment, a few tit for tat administrative blockages is small fry compared to what is going on elsewhere ;)

I hope for a Yes vote, then I can hopefully stop listening to those Scots who constantly go on and on about it on TV. I hope it benefits everyone, but am a little worried why ALL parties in England are trying to hold on to Scotland.

read the 4967 replies in the Scottish thread to find out- riveting reading:whistle:

Going to to be interesting to see how it affects people. People of Scottish nationality in the armed forces are getting told they will have to leave as they will no longer be a British subject.

I just hope that it works out for everyone. I might have a dig at Scottish people for being Scottish, but I have a lot of friends from being in the RAF that are Scottish and would not want to see them get screwed over by this split.

Been told they will get the choice to stay in the forces but will be subject to UK taxes etc etc

Sat here having breakfast with a Staff Sergeant from the RLC and he is saying lads have been told they will have to leave if they choose to have Scottish nationality over being British. Basically they have been told give up your right to be Scottish or leave.

even though it seems harsh, you can't serve in the British Army when you have just given up your status as a British subject.

Sorry yes - they have the choice - stay British ( well have a UK passport ) and stay in the HM Forces

The ones who leave IMO will be the ones who were already looking to leave and have jobs lined up or the ranking officers involved in any Scottish Defence force ( which they have a massive under budget for )

our local LABOUR council member and shoe in to be next MP has been arrested and charged with assault on a yes voter at a GLASGOW polling station,i live on Merseyside,50 got a coach to GLASGOW to picket, what are they scared of loosing their MP'S in WESTMINSTER or the breaking up of the union, they should keep their noses out and let the people deside, apparntly the LABOUR party has been shipping thousands of supporters north of the border to stir up resentment, sad bunch of losers.

hang on about the armed forces, don't the Ghurkas fight for us yet don't have a UK passport? Scaremongering again?
As a Jock in Wales I don't get to vote and I was probably in the no camp before, but events have swayed me to the yes side, with all the austeritymeasures going on why would England try to hold on to Scotland if it was costing them money?
Anyway which ever way it lands good luck as still have family and friends up there.

I think it is mor to do with if Scotland want independence and be self sufficient then they can't expect to still have westminster supporting their armed forces. You either want to be british or Scottish, you can't have the best of both worlds.
