Good golf near Torquay.

Next wekend I'm off to Torquay for the week ........................... with clubs!
Can anybody recommend a good course in that area for a couple of 18 handicappers?

Teignmouth, a very interesting and quite challenging Mackenzie design.

Give Churston a try, between Paignton and Brixham. Challenging course, very friendly guys in the pro shop and you should get a deal if you tee off after 2.00pm. My son in law and I played it twice during our week in Devon last month and we would definitely go back.

Torquay has it's own golf club - and it's not bad either. If you're passing by (Babbacombe model village by any chance?) then it's certainly worth a visit.

One of my friends has a country membership there and says its in great condition. Hoping to get down there for a knock sometime soon.

I played Dawlish Warren when I was down that way last year. A nice seaside links, with some properly evil rough!
