So me and HID are looking for a wee midweek break from 10th August to 13th August.

Looking to take the 2 x pooches away and looking for somewhere with nice walks and a decent restaurant in it for the humans.

Had planned on Fairmont as my dad has a membership in there but they wanted £356 a night pfft I'm not Richard Branson :mmm: Also enquired about Auchrannie as had hear good things but they're fully booked.

Max want to pay is £200 per night- any suggestions. I'm open to staying in a golf resort but unlikely to be allowed to take the clubs.

Also with the 2 dogs don't really wanna be travelling in car any longer than 2 hours from Glasgow.

The MacDonald at Kinlochrannoch seemed to be very welcoming to dogs when I was there last September. Lovely place too with long walks aplenty.
Price was very reasonable and well within your budget. Food was excellent.

Atholl Palace is another.

I can recommend the Portavadie Marina complex at Loch Fyne Argyle. It has nice modern clean dog friendly lodges . Interesting drive to get there ,single track roads etc but very quaint and scenic.
A few excellent small villages and eating places within a few miles.
Food in the hotel is first class but can be a bit expensive, depending on your menu choice.
Great views over the Marina , great place to walk the dogs, IF the weather is good.

You can get the car ferry from the hotel, across to Tarbert ???? then you could drive down to or maybe even play golf at Macrahanish , another interesting drive .

Or check out the Benderloch camp site, it has dog friendly log cabins near the Connel bridge, this side of Oban . Great dog walks along the beach , then you have the famous Mussel Inn only 2 miles away on the road to the lovely Oban .
