Good deal?

Hey all

New to this forum but looking for some advice! I've come back to golf after a few years off and am looking to buy a set of clubs to improve with, started with some chunky mizuno cavities and on my first 18 shot a 108.

Since then I've been borrowing my friend's mizuno MP60s and went round the same course in 93 then 86 a week later, it's obvious they're making a world of difference!

He's looking to buy a new set soon and is offering me the MP60s for £300 (project x shafts and recently regripped). Not really knowing the going prices for second hand sets, is this a good deal? Just looking to get some advice before I take the plunge!

Played with a mate on saturday who has MP60s 3-PW S300 shafts but was trying out some AP2s.Having got on well with them he enquired about a trade in and was only offered £150 for his Mizunos which are in very good condition.Apparently there isn't a huge market for these blade like clubs.

So in my opinion not a great deal.

If he's a mate, part with the cash, even if it's not exactly a good deal. He'd be making a large lump of cash off you (compared to trade-in/ebay)....I've seen them new for under £300.
