Clubhouse Golf are currently offering these for £89.99 delivered. You can choose from two different Aldila Phenom shafts in a variety of flexes and the club comes with tool, interchangeable sole weights in a bag and a headcover!

I ordered online on Sunday and it is arriving today.

I've bought on spec, not having even tried one, but looking at the reviews and at the price I feel its worth a punt. I'll give it a go at the range later and report back.

My son-in-law has just bought the forged irons and they are very nice.

I have no connection with Wilson or Clubhouse - just thought I'd post a heads up on what seems to me to be a bargain.

I've had a go with one and to be fair there a pretty decent driver - although adjustable anything other than 11.5 degrees will open the clubface when you look at the settings chart - oh and wait till you hear it you might need a set of earplugs :)

Be interested to hear how you get on with it. I currently have the D100 but looking for something new for this season.

I'll definitely report back when I've given it a go and set it up properly.

I was hoping the noise thing was a bit exaggerated, especially as it sounded a lot quieter on one video review I watched. I guess its not so bad if every drive you hit flies a mile, but drawing attention of every golfer on the course to my latest mighty slice or vicious hook is not something I really want to do!!!!

I have heard the noise isn't the best but I dont think that would bother me. I quite like my D100 and hit it well enough but it just feels a bit too light for me. Looking for something that feels like it has bit of meat behind it.

Not a good start for me - the weather outside at the moment means I won't get to try it, even if it turns up. The local range faces the west coast so any ball I hit is likely to end up behind me in this wind!

Well, the weather has moderated and I've just received an email from Clubhouse golf, with extremely detailed information about the delivery. Apparently the driver's name is Daniel, I am delivery number 40, scheduled for 1055 to 1155 and he is currently delivering number 3 about halfway between Westhoughton and Farnworth on the live map they have sent me!

Hopefully therefore I might still get to try the club today.

I have to say that despite yesterday's hiccup, I am very impressed with Clubhouse Golf. The fitting I had for my irons was pretty good, judging by some of the reports on here, they do keep you fully informed on the progress of deliveries and their prices are generally extremely competitive.

They seem to be pretty good. I was a bit dissapointed that they only offered free delivery to my area for orders over £150. I checked online golf who offer free delivery for orders over £25 including the Highlands and Islands and had the club at the same price, althought they didn't have the 60g shaft option. I sent them an email asking if they could match this and they have replied saying that they, so I think I am going to stick in an order for a driver and a 3 wood.

Well it turned up as expected and I have just come back from the range very well chuffed!!!

The headcover, toolbag and tool look to be worth the £89.99 alone!

The club itseldf was great. I hit 100 balls out of which I would say 10 were definite mis-hits. Al the others were straight with a slight fade and long (for me!). Of the mis-hits, two were very bad slices and two or three were slight hooks, the rest were dead straight, but not as long.

The noise was nowhere as bad as I expected but, more importantly, was completely different when I hit the sweet spot so, for a high handicapper like myself, a definite advantage in helping me to immediately know where I was hitting it on the face. This was borne out by the ball marks which, with the relatively dark finish to the face, were easily visible, but wiped off after each shot.

I caught one ball very high on the top 'shoulder', but with the shotblasted finish it did not cause any damage, whereas with a conventionally painted top, I might have expecetd a chip.

All in all I would recommend anyone who is considering buying one of these to get in there quickly.

Good to hear. I've just ordered a driver and a 3 wood, under £150 for both including delivery cant be bad. Just need the weather to improve a bit now.

Great. I hope they are as good for you as this one is for me. What shaft option have you gone for - I'm guessing a stiff with your handicap?

Yes, I already saw this review when I was looking at getting one. I am very definitely a high handicapper (28 and I normally consider I've had a good round if I break the magic 'ton') and yet I did find the club very forgiving today as I have said. In that respect therefore, I would disagree with the reviewer, though to be fair, he only said he wasn't sure whether it would suit a high handicapper, not that it definitely would not.
