Had my winter knockout match this morning, against a 9 handicapper and managed to have what I believe is my biggest ever matchplay win, triumphing 9&7 Was quite a strange game in that on the front 9 I had 8 pars and a bogey against my opponents 9 bogeys, so every hole I won I won by just 1 shot. Was +1 for 11 holes when we finished which considering the winds and that I didnt drive the ball well I was happy with (short game was surprisingly sharp). On the downside it means Im home early enough to watch the football

Well done. Not get much bigger margain than that. Mine is 6 and 5 so congrats all round. Be a long journey home for your opponent after a mauling like that.

Well done, great result. What round does that put you in?

I did play against a mate 2 months ago and I was 3 over on the front and 7 down, he was 4 under I did have a small rally before shaking hands at 4&2

think thats 3 rounds down and 3 to go so quarter finals next. seems im playing a 25 handicapper in the next round, not someone I know but hes beaten 2 very good low handicappers in the last 2 rounds, should be fun giving 14 shots lol
