my game has been going backwards this year, so a visit to Panshanger (Welwyn) with a mate who's starting back after a lay-off was mostly so that we could try to spot problems. that the weather was so good didn't hurt.
turns out I don't aim where I think I do but generally hit where I'm actually aiming - it's the feet misaligned more often than not. so if the feet are closed and but aiming right (and vice versa) can lead to interesting results - though this has meant I have a more extensive repertoire of recovery shots.
with the putter working a lot better, only one 3-putt, ending up with a net +1, and best of the year by a street (up to then), was more than satisfying.
so on to yesterday. GB72 finally made it to my track, which was unfortunately far busier than expected (it would have been nice to have been told that they were hosting a charity event) so a sloooow round. So even better that we both had a good day - better than good really, even with a couple of bad holes (triples or worse) we netted an 84 (Greg - off 20) and 85 (off 22) gross respectively. easily my best and if it hadn't been off forward tees worth putting in for a cut.
Cheers Greg.

thanks mate,
seems like you're starting to realise your potential, long overdue and I guess it's only medal blockage that's been stopping you. you were easily worth that when we played.

it would be good to have another knock, especially if we can do it in the dry.
