So when do they start to even out?
This year I've had more than my fair share of bad ones but I'm definitly lacking on the good ones.
Not that I haven't had any but the bad ones far outweigh them

And I'm not alone.
Between the 3 of us yesterday there were at least 6 or 7 bad ones and none of us could remember a good one.
CVG had a 45 degree left bounce that took his ball from a direct line to the flag in the middle of the green to the pond on the left of it.......

If it's supposed to even out over the year I'm in for a cracking Summer and Autumn........

I think I'm having yours. Sorry. I have had a couple of bounces off stakes/rocks at the edge of a lake to end up on the green, bounces off water, those were just in my last 5 rounds.

If this is the case, then I may just stop playing now before my bounces get worse!

When you have a good bounce mentally you believe you played the shot that way....

I think it's just a case of remembering the bad ones and forgetting the good ones.

Hope that's not burst your bubble Ian. :D

I know exactly what you're saying but I'm the first to admit it when I've got a huge break like a kick towards the flag.
The fact I can remember the ones I do get tells me I don't get many!
At least 3 times yesterday a kick in the opposite direction would have left me a tap in birdie but the ball chose to go the other....

Might try and log them all for a month - all the good vs all the bad.

Don't believe they'll be equal......

Bad bounces tend to be more memorable than good bounces in my experience.

And don't even mention the old adage that trees are 90% air because they're not, - absolutely NO WAY!!!!

Got to admit I'm actually worried about when I start playing well, because its only lucky bounces that are keeping me scoring at the moment its certainly not the epic golf i'm not playing. Once I start hitting the ball right i'll get the bad bounces!

Played last week and sprayed my drive so far right on our 3rd hole it woul've been in another post code but hit a tree and rebounded 40yards left to centre of the fairway yeilding a chance at a short pitch for birdie!

I don't get too fussed these days. Good ones are one against the head in the battle with the golfing gods and a bad once is their way of balancing the ledger. As long as I put a good swing on it I'm happy. Can't control the outcome once its on the way
