Hi guys,
Hope you all had a cracking weekend! Been seeing the weather you are having over there and it looks pretty crazy!
Anyway, after playing two really bad rounds in the last 3 weeks (shot 100 & 106!!!!I haven't shot in the hundreds for months!), I managed to hit my lowest ever round on Saturday, a 12 over par 84!!! Played the front 9 in 47 shots which was pretty bad but then went on a run and finished the back 9 one over par! So was well chuffed!
As some of you may know, I had my 1st golf lesson with the head pro at my local and we worked on a couple of adjustments to my stance and alignment etc which seemed to make me go backwards hence my rounds of 100 & 106! I was so so disheartened by those 2 rounds and my confidence had taken an extreme blow! I am not sure if it was because I needed to get used to the adjustments or whether I was thinking about them too much before hitting every shot! Think it was a bit of both to be honest.
On Saturday I just went out and played (with the new adjustments) without thinking and it seemed to work better for me! I am now down to 16.4 however the big test comes in the next few rounds! Now that I know I can hit in the 80's I need to now try and do this consistently which will definately be tough but I am determined to try my very best! Will be meeting up with my pro again in the next couple of weeks to fine tune what we worked on orignally and to see if there are other areas we can work on.
Monday morning hasn't been so bad after all! haha
