OK OK in a earlier thread i mentioned i would never buy another club without trying it first

guess what Ive done it again, my taylormade r5 Driver 10.5 loft witch Ive been hitting great drives with,, so im going to see if i can get any more distance with a taylormade r7 8.5 loft driver ive won on ebay for 50 pounds

im interested in knowing the difference's between the 10.5 & 8.5 loft

it's costing me money with the snow stopping play

anyone else been spending because the snow as stopped play

2 degrees is the difference;) seriously though the ball flight will be the main difference as you should get a lower flight with the 8.5 degree providing the shaft is right for you. Being inside more generally means I spend a bit more, not bought any clubs but bought some new clothing from various sites.

Yeah with lack of play I find myself constantly looking at new and used kit.

Good luck with the change of loft I tried similar couple of years ago and trial failed.

it depends on how much ball speed you generate.

if your ball speed is not high enough then you benefit more from the 10.5 as you need as much height as possible to achieve as much carry and overall distance.

a lot depends on shaft aswell......

if you can achieve enough ball speed and a high enough launch angle then the 8.5 might work well for you and hopefully you will achieve enough roll out aswell.

Im in the process of re-selling some of the stuff I bought on ebay in the past two weeks..... plus my lounge carpet has a groove in it!!!

Given my bank card so she can take it to work with her. Anything to stop more spending on gear I dont need. Sooner the better weather comes the better.
