Golfshot issues

Evening all,

I've just installed golf shot on my iPhone 4s and onto my I pad,I can see the yardages, carry distances, lay ups etc on the ipad but not on the I phone4s, I was hoping to use it tomorrow but only wanted to use the gps mode and not the Ariel view of holes, does the I phone only show yardages when connected to a network ? Seems strange it works fine on the ipad without being connected to either wireless or network. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes it does? It shows them on a screen on their own, or you can flip to the ariel view? Unless I'm misunderstanding what the OP is asking?

It does it ok on the ipad but won't show the yardages on the iphone, I've got the settings the same on both ?

Oh, are you just talking about now? It will work when you are on the course using the GPS

Works fine on my iPhone 5 and did on 4 too - I skipped the 4s - only really use it on holiday as it's banned for comps - works fine away from course too - tells me I'm 63.6 miles from first green at Boat of Garten where I'm playing tomorrow

Was hoping it might, the ipad must be able to pick up yardages without being connected, do you need to keep the iphone connected to your network/4g or will it work just of the gps ? Guess I'll find out tomorrow thanks woody

You need to have a connection to download the ariel view, but the GPS yardages should just work I believe.

The ariel view shows that for me as well, but not the GPS yardages view. They are blank.

No, it will show the ariel view as well as the yardages providing you either a) have cellular coverage or b) have the maps already downloaded.

Yes - that's the case, actually if you are close to the course it will give yardages

Good news. The iphone is compliant as a dmd if the app is ok.pretty sure golfshot is fine.
