After using GolfPride multi compounds for years I had all my bats regripped with the GolfPride VDRs yesterday. Heading up to Scotland later today for a golf industry get together so will have the opportunity to put them through their paces Sunday and Monday
Anyone else used the VDRs? Any feedback on them?

Hope you have a great time in Scotland.
Shame you don't have a V-Easy to show off while you're there. :(

What colour did you go for in the grips. The blue looks nice

rub it in eh Mike :p

they do look nice grips, regripped mine with lamkin crossline and really liked them.

My new Nike Full Cavities get bad write ups for the grips and the VDR are the ones I may well choose if I decide to change them. Let us know how they go please

used them on a few of clubs, a driver, a 5 wood and a wedge

Lovely and tacky to begin with, decent in the wet, no different in the rain from the multi compounds on my irons

However I would say they are quite high maintenance. They get greasy quicky and need cleaning on a regular basis. I give the a quick wipe down with a soapy sponge and they return to their tackyness.

I went for the black with a blue butt, out of the others blue would be my favourite.

I had one on a wedge and have to admit, whilst i like the "tackiness", the rubber seemed thicker than the multi-compounds and as I result, I struggled for feel on the chipping and pitching.

interested to hear that junior. When I picked them up yesterday I thought they'd put two layers of tape on. Will have to see how I get on with that as I liked the thin feel of the MCs especially on wedges where on shots of 40 yards or less I take off my glove. Went for the white grips with the black butt tip
Golf is at Archerfield - not played either of the courses or stayed at the house so looking forward to that. Think the forecast is OK

Hi Mike, I had the white VDR's at the start of the season and at first they seemed great but I had to change them after 3 weeks because I just couldn't keep hold of them, they got so slippy. So I have gone back to Tour Velvets which I have used for at least 10 years. I hope they work for you though.

I've recently put a white one on my 7 iron to see what they are like. Although they feel great and seem to cushion off centre hits well it doesn't take long for long for them to start looking grubby and in need of a good scrub down. Warm soapy water and a cloth seems to do the job bringing them back to as new both in colour and tackiness.
