Golfing Weekend

Evening All,

Me and a friend are looking to go away for a few rounds of golf in October of this year. Somewhere to play a few rounds of golf, bed, breakfast and a fully stocked BAR

Does anyone have any reccommendations/suggestions? We live in County Durham and looking to travel anywhere between an hour and 2 hours away...

We looked at a couple of the de vere places (oulton hall), the sunday driver package is the type of thing we are looking at but just wondering if anyone had encountered a particularly good deal anywhere.

Close House? Not played it but heard it is supposed to be really nice? Or Slaley Hall is another option in the NE along with Rockcliffe.

Formby Hall at Southport is a good track and nice hotel.Reasonable price too.
