Anybody have our have seen one used?

After being badgered by the wife as to what I would like from Santa, I've started looking at Range Finders.

Came across the Golf Buddy LR3 at a good price from Clubhouse Golf.

Knowing nothing about rangefinders just wondering people's opinions on this unit.

I know Bushnell and Nikon make good units, but I'm looking to this model specifically.

Any opinions appreciated

I've no idea which model it is but I bought a Golf Buddy laser from Snainton in March/April time and it's been great.

Was a good bit cheaper than the Nikon/Bushnell ones iirc

Thanks for this

Would you say it misses any features the Bushnell or Nikon equivalents offer?

I have a really good laser I picked up cheap. It's even got this little wheel that you turn, it can be a star, a circle or even a mouse!

It doesn't "jolt" or anything when you lock on to the flag but has the scan and target functions.

Never let me down anyway and still happily using it to the point I may not bother with a gps anymore.

I have a snooper which I have been very happy with, however after testing Bushnells for GM recently (thank you Mr Harris) I upgraded to a Bushnell. I would have to say that the Bushnell is optically better and locks onto the target much better, the Snooper is fine but the Bushnell is worth the extra money.

Friend had the golf buddy one

Takes a touch longer to lock on to target but seconds - no difference in the readings compared to my Bushnell.
