We have predicted the major winners in 2008 - but who do you think are the dark horses and the each way bets for 2008 ???

For what it's worth I think Rory will do OK but will definately struggle, like Ollie Fisher did in his first year on tour. The below are not new names by any stretch of the imagination but will there and there abouts in most tournaments. . .

Marc Warren
Miguel Angel Jiminez
Ross Fisher
Graeme McDowell
Simon Dyson

Good choices Junior although I have doubts about MA Jimenez. He's 43 or so and I reckon he may be just a bit long in the tooth to really make a breakthrough (win a major). I watched him play last year at our local course here in Northern Spain. A great player and a terrific guy.

Of your list the only one I have very grave doubts over is Mcdowell. Could be a good year for Dyson.

I reckon Kaymer will surprise a few guys this season. I also think that poulter is looking in good shape and could get in contention for some big wins, I dont fancy him to get close to a major though.

I think Luke Donald has to pull something out the bag this year to keep his confidence up, he's another one a bit moe mentally unstable then the rest. The same for darren clarke!

westwood will do well i suspect. i should expect to see some good golf from Henrik stenson and karlsson too

I think its a big year for the likes of Adam Scott and Rory Sabatini, both have amazing talent but both need to step up to the table and prove that they can eat with the big boys.

I think Mike Weir is going to come out with all guns blazing this year as well.

Back home in Europe I agree with Kaymer. Raphael Jacqualine is an awesome ball striker. Ross Fisher, Alastair Forsyth is steady,Havret and Anton Haig.

Think Westwood is a stick on for the Order of Merit!

I think Westwood will have a big year in 2008 now he has learnt to win again. I agree with previous comments and think that for all his talent the chance of a major has passed Jimenez by. Think Monty is a spent force too.

I think Rose will come very close to a major, Harrington will be tough whenever he pegs it up and I think Poulter is going to be big in 2008. I hope McIlroy is given time to adjust to life on tour (although I doubt the media will afford him that).

There's something about Nick Dougherty that I like (and it's not just the hair).

I thought Stenson last year, but he has disappointed really.

Other than that, Kaymer, Illonen, Romero, for the newbies, and Westwood representing the older establishment.
