anyone bought anything from http://www.golfchoice.co.uk/default.asp apparently located in Dundee there's a remote control golf trolley I'd love to have and they deliver same day if in stock.
trouble is I won't be home when I order so I contacted them and asked if I could arrange an alternative delivery to which they replied

Yes, we can arrange an alternative delivery date. please let us know after placing an order

i.e. give us your money(debit card not credit card) and then ask
WhoIs on the site says they have been around since 2005

Its a good price, but it doesn't say what sort of remote control it is. Does it stear...? Does it have a follow me function...? If not its probably not worth bothering with remote control. Best bet get a GoKart, Motocaddy or similar.

'If you introduce yourself, you may get a better responce. Where do you play, how long, handicap etc.'

Surely thats just not necessary twire ?? It does nothing to endear this place to new or occasional visitors, and makes it sound like a private members club that want to vet you before allowing you in.

Just my thoughts.

Have to agree. Its not compulsory to introduce yourself although it is a sociable thing to do on a public forum. Its up to the individual if they want to go into detail. SOme prefer the comfort of the shadows on venturing into the light in quick short bursts lest they get struck with he forum bug and so render themselves to a life of checking the board at every opportunity.

If that's the way it came across then I apologise to the OP,
it certainly wasn't intended that way. I made my first post by asking questions, but if I could do it again...

Surely you don't expect them to arrange a delivery date before you've bought the item? :D A wee bit over cautious perhaps?

well I took the plunge and have ordered a new Go Kart there was just something about the original that didn't sit right.

As requested a few details, I have been playing on/off for appx. 25 years but more off than on due to often working abroad as a contractor and some quite serious injuries.
The early days were spent on municipal courses and despite the sometimes quite horrendous slow play I stuck with the game but never obtained a h/cap, the best I achieved then was a few rounds of 90 on a par 72.

2 years ago a couple of friends joined a club in Leicestershire(Parkhill) and I've been their guest on a number of occasions but frustratingly I can't even break 100 on this par 73 course

Due to my stupid smoking habit(which I have now kicked into touch) I have ended up with partially blocked arteries which meant having to hire a buggy at £10 per shot for each round which is why I am now investing in an electric trolley in the hope that this will place less strain on legs and wallet :)

These forums look as though they will prove invaluable and I look forward to becoming a regular visitor so thanks for the welcome and can someone point me in the direction of the bar

Good to hear that you've kicked the smoking Spot.

I moved to a Powakaddy 18mths ago as I find carrying just screws up my already problematic knee these days, and quite frankly, wished I'd done it ages ago, its brill.

Take it easy, dont let the game get to you, and enjoy your golf.
