have asked them for quotes before when I am selling kit but they never come up to value that I feel I can get on Ebay so never followed through with it. Most recent quote given was for a set of DI7s 4-SW plus the additional Gap Wedge and they offered £110.00

I have a few times, I think since their popularity has grown so have their prices unfortunately. Not the attractive option they once were for me.
However the condition of clubs is often better than described which is a plus as is the fact you know you're getting the real deal and not fakes.
I look at Ebay first, then Golfbidder for used gear, much more likely to get a steal on Ebay, you won't on golfbidder...choice is yours! Be careful with Ebay and research thoroughly the seller!

The prices seem steep from what I have seem of them. Ebay is riddled with clones, but you can get some bargins, I got 3 Cleveland CG12 PB wedges for £100 when Direct golf price them up at £70+ each.

I went to the pro shop last weekend and he was trying to charge £40 of a battered CG10 and £45 for a totally battered Vokey spinmill which was washed up. No wonder people avoid pro shops these days.

Hi,

Never used Golfbidder but have visited their site frequently for a number of years now. I would agree, you'll pay top dollar for second hand gear and there are better bargains going on ebay.

I'm feeling quite pleased with myself at the moment because I've just bought 2 Titleist Vokey Spinmill wedges from my pro shop for £40 each this afternoon - they're ex demo but in pristine condition! :D

Honestly the ones in my local pro shop must have been 5 years old and the groves totally worn, someone will buy them no doubt.

Sounds like you got a deal there, does he have any more

Hi Parmo,

Unfortunately I think not - I bought the first one 2 weeks ago(54 degree) and knew he had a 58 degree as well which I intended getting last weekend, but the course was closed due to the rain! It opened this morning for the first time since so I sloped off from work at breakfast to go and get the second one!

They really are in A1 condition but unfortunately have demo stamped on the underside of the grip - I can live with that though.

If he does have anymore I will let you know.

Haven't used them, but as an anorak-type bloke who knows the going rate for used cars and used golf kit, I'd have to say that bargains are a rare bird.
Look at the facts....
Golf bidder.....top price, almost bargain free
Ebay.....close to top price, risky at times
Local range/pro.....realistic P/X gear, nicely priced to sell
Local rag/mates/.....cheap, but you have to wait for the stuff to come along.

I've been hunting down some stuff on ebay.....what a hassle.....if you can get the new price with a 5 second search on google, it'll go for 70% for well known gear easily....great for sellers, rubbish for buyers.

What I would recommend is searching out "old model" kit, there's loads of new or nearly new out-of-date kit for great deals.

No mwj......I'm just a little OCD......like to read glass guides for fun (and for car club info), and books on golf, and post on some random forums......

When I'm not doing these things I'm working, out with the family or playing golf.

Never used golfbidder other than to check what was available. Prices I have checked seemed unrealistic - second hand B60's at £58, condition not rated higher than a 7 in any category. New are £60 at AG and £65 at my pro shop.
