I seen a show on I think the golf channel on sky years ago which was like X factor type thing for golf.
Players played games against each other like mate play, longer drive, smashing little glass windows.
I thought it was great. Anyone know what's its called and if its still on?

Big Break?

Its on YouTube

Tommy '2 Gloves' Gainey won that show and made it to the PGA tour from there I think.

Not sure if he won the show but he was on it ,was good watching at times and there were some belters on it Don Donatello was a total walloper remember him saying "pull the tape tight" when measuring his shot the rest of guys were lying on the ground in laughter, actually saw him caddying on the PGA Tour not that long ago.

There is a fella in bare feet playing golf?

Yeah, pretty good he was too. Awesome putter, with a broomhandle if I remember right. He came back on a 'reunion' series and had ditched the bare foot approach.

All of the shows from all of the series are on the Golf Channel website.

Go to media, then click on full episodes. There's lots of other stuff there as well like Feherty's show and The Haney Project.

As well as Tommy Gainey, Matt Every, PGA Tour player was on it, as were a couple of women who later made the LPGA Tour including Kristy McPherson, who has finished in the top 5 in a couple of women's majors. Ryann O'Toole appeared on one more recent series and is now a LPGA player and played in the last Solheim Cup. Sophie Sandolo and Sam Head also appeared while European Tour players.

A couple of the contestants are now Tour caddies. Kip Henley won the Las Vegas Big Break and now caddies for Brian Gay.

I enjoyed Big Break especially the European series that included Warren Bladon the fella who when playing a practise round with Jack at Augusta walked in tired after 9 holes
