So what's the deal with this world cup.

I've been playing this game for just over a year and watching just less than that.

What format does the world cup take? (I know it is two players per country) and how are the players selected? (I see Harrington is missing from Ireland.

It's the top ranked player (world rankings) who can be bothered to go and then he gets to choose who he wants to play with......they play a mixture of formats - fourball, foursomes and maybe singles for the last round....

Sweeden to win anyone? Karlsson and Stenson must do fairly well together. England are also in with a shout, with I think, Poulter and Ross Fisher representing us. I remember watching last years, was it not Scotland who won!? It is actually a good tournament to watch if I can remember.

yes, it is only being screened live on sky, I'm not sure about highlights though. I think this was one tournament the BBC did try and gain the rights for but were inevitably unsuccessful.

Soth Africa look like a strong team. I agree England look like a favourite as well.

Denmark, Sweden and Ireland also have decent pairings for this event. Scotland have Monty who hit a bit of form last week but Forsyth is a bit of a yo-yo this season and has also just split from Torrance to go back to Ian Rae.

I like this tournament and think it has the makings of a good spectacle. I also finish work at 4am on Saturday morning so may just stay up watching it.

Seeing the full list, so many teams could win. Even India will be reasonably strong and then you have spain who if Larazabal is playing well could pose a real threat. There doesn't seem to be a weak team tbh except for some of the less known golfing countries. I wouldn't like to pick one outright winner as nobody stands out clearly against the rest.

Had I had Sky, this would have been good to watch. As it is I don't see me coughing up £20 to Virgin as I did for the Ryder Cup.

Anyone know what times it's being shown, just in case it's on at the GC

3am kick off sadly!

Unless you GC breaks the local licensing laws then your fecked.
