Looking for the best places to go for golf weeks. Note there is one Highland Whiskey tour with Boat of Garten and other courses which looked very good.

Additionally seem to recall Liverbirdie managed 3 days away including Prestwick, Glasgow Gailes and Western Gailes.

Any help would be appreciated

East Lothian is a classic golf tour area.

Great range of courses/prices all pretty good value.

Close to Edinburgh for 'culture', but hard to beat Gullane as a golf town!

East Neuk in Fife... Lots of courses [obviously] over a wide(ish) price range...

Only one of the courses there, I have played, I wouldn't revisit...

Plus a chance to visit a 'secret bunker' not sure if that's the one Dodger resides in though...

Great courses in that bit of the country, what course wouldn't you play again.

My lips are sealed.... As everyone will pile in saying how wrong I am... Crail was my favourite course and hope to get back for a third visit sometime soon.. Scotland is a great place to visit... Fife, though, is a bit flat for herself who liked to do a bit of Munro 'bagging' when north of the border... St Andrews is always worth a visit and [unlike others] we enjoyed our days in Dundee...

How about Arran? The Arran golf pass is £99 for a round on each of the Islands 7 courses. Also has a distillery and a brewery :)

Cant go wrong with east lothian. Loads of courses to play and all different in their own way. All fairly good price wise but you have the option if you want to play a higher priced course and a few cheaper courses.

Yep we had a great 3 courses. I would swap Dundonald for Glasgow gailes and it would be brilliant.

Another option is the Carnoustie country passport, I think it's called. I haven't played all the courses involved but I think it is Carnoustie and some of the open qualifiers. This year has gone though.

18th - 22nd May 2014
The Classic is now in its 10th year and has a loyal following from across the UK and beyond. The competition is played on Montrose Medal, Panmure Barry, Monifieth Medal and Carnoustie Championship.

My favourite course in Scotland (I haven't played many in fairness) is the Roxburghe Hotel course near Kelso in the Scottish Borders. Stunning course, scenery also amazing and I don't remember it being stupidly expensive to play either.

If you go up north then Moray (Lossiemouth) do a fabulous open week played in it for the last 5 years and its a brilliant week and well organised. Elgin, Forres and Nairn all do a week as well. They are all a bargain for a weeks golf.
