Golf Weekend

I know this has probably been covered many times over, but I don't have time to trawl through hundreds of older posts. Four of us had been looking for a couple of days away golfing, we were originally looking at the belfry but the deal we were looking at has been fully booked.

We're now thinking of having a couple of days on the coast, ideally within a couple of hours of Surrey. Hayling is a strong possibility (sure I've seen a forumer who is a member there). So are there any courses nearby that anyone would recommend or any alternative areas to stay/play?

Ideally would like to keep the budget for the two rounds somewhere between £100 and £150 but could possibly stretch a bit further.

Old Thorns maybe ?

Bournemouth has a good selection.

Or you won't ever go wrong with going to Kent and Princes

I know bit further to drive but St.Mellion was a great weekend and very well priced.

I've been meaning to play Old Thorns for some time now, it's only half hour down the road from me so can play that any time.

Bournemouth could be a good option, I've only ever been there on the lash so wouldn't know any courses round that way.

I agree with St Mellion, great course, great place, unfortunately a bit too far away for this particular weekend

Bournemouth could be a good option, I've only ever been there on the lash so wouldn't know any courses round that way.

When we went there we played Barton and Ilse of Purbeck

But there some other good course down there - understand Broadstone and The Dorest are nice

East Sussex National has two very good courses and you'd get a good deal there!

Goodwood also has two good courses (The downs is awesome), but it might be a little out of the price range.
