golf weekend ideas

im booking a golf weekend for my thirty tenth birthday in august was looking for a few ideas where to go, already done the belfry, celtic manor , was looking at forest pines but not much to do there for a night out ( no offence scunthorpe) any suggestions ??????

How many of you going. If you want some ok courses that will let guys who maybe don't play regularly get round too then Ashbury Manor in Devon is worth a look. If you stay onthe golf site there is pretty good evening entertainment (snooker hall etc) and five or so courses to try out

8 of us going, somewhere a bit closer if possible live in coventry so only want to travel couple of hours or so, dont fancy driving too far back on the sunday after a night out

How about the Lancashire coast. Links golf and I'm sure you'd find "entertainment" at some of the resorts. Could be cheap in a couple of caravans too

Belton Woods is always worth a shot, 2 courses and enough to do around town.

Scarbroughs good but maybe a bit to far.
Would of said forest pines but like you say Scunthorpe isn't the greatest night out

Ultimate weekend with Great golf is Woodhall Spa (if you can stand the drive)

Close second would be the north wales area

For me anyway!

2 hours might be pushing it but Dartmouth Golf & Country Club do some great 1/2/3 night golf break deals and you'll enjoy the course (defo book a buggy tho!). You're only a short taxi ride into Dartmouth which has some excellent places to eat & drink
