Golf this weekend

Off to see Alex at Orka in a little bit, hes gonna check all my lofts and lies before the "season" starts, gonna check a few of the yardages on the GC2 and no doubt he'll have a peek at my swing and point out anything glaring for me.

Tomorrow got a friendly knock with Alex1975 off here after lunch, course is drying out and the fcast is good, should be fun.

Then tuesday off to Staverton Park for a hit with Full_Throttle

Nice to be "fit" again, lets hope nothing breaks again in the next few days lol

Nothing today, as off to Wembley to see Jack Whitehall tonight.

Tomorrow is the shareholders trophy, winner gets a chunk off next years fees .... always a good one if you can win that ;)

We got a quick front nine in after work yesteday. HID is in the clubs winter final today so I'm off later with a friend after the mens comp. Then fun mixed comp for us tomorrow. Sun is currently shining but it's cold.

Played yesterday, got a shooting pain up my right shin on the 3rd hole, limped round the rest of the round, got gradually worse until I could put no weight on it. Then spent 3 hours in casualty last night to find out I have strained a muscle in my leg, which has now swelled up like a balloon.

Currently floating round the living room on codeine and anti-inflammatory pills, unable to play in todays comp.

Gutted as the sun is shining and it's short sleeves weather.

Pills are good though :whoo:

Unlucky Break90, hope it clears quickly.

Today is the start of a nice few days of golf for me:

Today was a mixed 3-club scramble, we scored pretty well but not good enough to win.
Monday = Lindrick pairs with full_throttle
Wednesday = The Berkshire Red with Richart and co.

Great stuff. :D

I was off work yesterday and was due to to play 18 with my old man, but course was closed until twelve because of fog:( managed to get 9 in before I had to collect kids from school, but played utter rubbish.

Managed to get a pass this morning so went out again, played much better irons were best they have been for ages, and the sun was shining.

Gardening tomorrow (not so good)

Supposed to be 18 today, tomorrow & Monday in order to start building up to the Longest Day, but came off after 9 thanks to my heels being in tatters due to breaking in new shoes; old faithfuls back on tomorrow, providing I can get shoes on... :D

Very much looking forward to a solo round tomorrow afternoon, course is quiet so i should be able to hit more than one ball if i feel the need.

Made a slight change to my swing midweek so hoping to get some practise in, not to mention the same results!

Played and won the mens winter matchplay, may sneak out for a quick nine tomorrow after servicing youngest daughters bike for her mini triathlon for sports relief next Sunday.

An hour and a bit on the practice ground hitting a variety of wedge shots into driving wind and rain.

Was all wrapped up and had my headphones in - I think I was having more fun than some of the poor sods I saw going down 16.

Played 18 at Hollins Hall in possibly the windiest conditions I've ever played in. Played inconsistantly in such tough conditions but won the front 9 on the 9th and then won the back 9 after winning the final 3 holes - a nice £3 win lol. None of us scored well but was pleased with my short (100 yards in) game, putting was terrible again, driving was decent but iron play was all over.

Meant to play today had to work, 1st comp of the year tomorrow for me, swinging badly, love medals, not looking forward to it to much, at least its a round golf

Member/Guest day with Richart at my place today. 3/4 handicap betterball stableford. 1st prize was 3 days and golf in Quinta do Lago staying at the 6 star Conrad hotel........we didn't win....:( ...........but we had a great time with great company. Always a pleasure to play with Richart and today was no exception.
It was pretty breezy and the greens were.....well let's just call them quick! :o didn't help that I have just been diagnosed with tendonitis of the shoulder and was supposed to be resting it instead of playing golf........hurts a bit at the moment...:(

I managed to get out today and came in with 37 pts, three silly one pointers and one NR. Our greens are not great at the moment, its like putting on clay.

But still nice to be out and nice so hit the ball well.
