Golf Show @NEC

To be honest the Golf Show needs to seriously change before I go again. Went a few years ago and it was mainly holiday companies and time share sellers. You had to queue ages to try any kit and I found it a bit of a waster of time

:( :( :

Bob has free addmission, so for a tenner we will give it a go. Nothing to do with AG being there and selling training aids :D :D

Have to say that sort of thing is off putting. I use to go to the Lincolnshire show, it turned into a car boot sale

Not going back again. It was badly organised, very busy and full of people trying to punt timeshare accommodation and gofing holidays. Once you could get to try some gear out it was fine but not really worth the hassle. I much prefer a good demo day. Its the same with the London show too - too many people and not that much to do without queuing

Graham, me and Teegirl are going on Saturday too now but wont get there till about 1.00
Teaching juniors first thing.
Ill probably be hanging around the AG stand teaching the staff how to use the V ;) ;) ;)

Sorry H, not GM user name logo'd surprisingly enough! I'll be spreading the word like a preacher from the deep south!

Bob. I've not planned a time, but I do want to spend a bit of time there. I'll be wandering around like a billboard!

Interesting that you'll be on the AG stand. I was told by the organisers that AG probably wouldn't be selling any training aids! Which is why I was interested in going as an exhibitor.

Does AG have a stranglehold on this show?

I guess the organisers were just trying to get another stand filled.

I don't mind competition, I just don't like being told a few 'untruths'. Okay, to give the organisers the benefit of the doubt, they won't know what AG will be selling there. But I've heard that AG have some 'demand' regarding other retailers at the show. Simply due to the amount of space they take there. Big boys afraid of a little competition perhaps!!

If it's any consolation, I would of had your product there, and you would of been welcome to come along for a 'guest apperance'.

However this is why I wanted to go. To check out what AG were up to. There's still London next spring.

You mean I've spent almost 2 years getting this far and AG cant be bothered to sell it?

Where's my wheelbarrow   ;)

never mind bob, I've been plugging your baby (and HH's website) at my local AG when I use their range.

(if it's wet Friday, DG are getting their chance!)

Went last year & it was a complete waste of time if i'm honest. Unless you're in the market for a new set of clubs it really isn't worth the bother.

Word of advice to anyone going, don't stand too close to the long drive competition. Last year the tees were too high & nets not big enough & there were golf balls flying around the bloody roof & landing everywhere.
